[Discussion] Acknowledge and reimburse bug related purchases

Let's say that hypothetically a game is buggy and someone bought an item or items in game under the false pretense that they would be getting what the buggy game advertised. After said hypothetical purchase they realize that they did not in fact get what the game advertised and instead received something else. It sure would be nice, in their best interest, and fair if the developer of said game corrected the hypothetical bug by taking back the goods given to the player and reimbursing them or rewarded the remainder of the goods as advertised.

Seems like the above hypothetical situation would be a pretty solid way to go about business instead taking zero responsibility for a faulty system and driving away potential future interactions.
